Consultant Plastic Surgeon
North Thames Cleft Service (Great Ormond Street Hospital and St Andrews Centre, Broomfield Hospital)
Lohan Kangesu began his consultant career in 1998 at St Andrews Centre, Broomfield Hospital and Southend Hospital specialising in paediatric plastic surgery and head and neck surgery. In 2003 he joined the newly created multidisciplinary team at the North Thames Cleft Service, Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and St Andrews Centre.
At GOSH he helped care for children with multiple birth defects in addition to cleft lip and palate. He has experience in surgical treatment of cleft lip and palate, velopharyngeal incompetence and rhinoplasty. Since 2018 his clinical work
has been based at St Andrews Centre.
