Anne Klassen (DPhil) is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at McMaster University, Associate Member of the Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence & Impact, and Scientist in CanChild Center for Childhood Disability Research.
She is internationally known for advancing patient-reported outcomes research methods and developing a series of patient-reported outcomes measures (eg, BREAST-Q, FACE-Q, BODY-Q) using a modern psychometric approach.
She led a study to develop an internationally applicable patient-reported outcome measure for children and young adults with cleft lip and/or palate. In that study, CLEFT-Q data were collected from 2434 patients from 12 countries.
She currently leads an international study to develop a module of the FACE-Q for children and young adults with ear anomalies, facial paralysis and skeletal and soft tissues conditions.
